10 month old girl "strutting"; also 2nd IRN or no?

Hi all!
My 10 month old female IRN, Nina, has started to do the cutest thing! She comes strutting up to me with her head held high and her shoulders back in a "heart shape", full of bravado, she comes right up close to my face and...then doesn't know what to do! Is this some mating thing? I've had her blood DNA tested, definitely a girl, but I was under the assumption that the heart shaped wing stance was a male thing?
On another topic, my friend has a 3 year old male IRN that she is looking to re-home, and I would love to take him, but I am afraid that it will spoil my bond with Nina. Has anyone been in a similar situation and what was the outcome? I have a very good alternate home for the male IRN if things go pear shaped, but can I do irrepairable damage?
