I'm travelling to visit family tomorrow and my baby is staying at home with my parents. I've only had him for a month and I was wondering if we would lose the bond that has started building between us? or will he maybe start preferring my mom?

Actually, it will be good for him. You want to prevent creating a one person bird. He needs to get used to all sorts of people. You're going to have this bird for 20-30 years and your family circumstances may change. Having a bird who hates a spouse or roommates does not seem like fun!

I was away for a week and he seems to be very shy. He knows its me, but is very careful!
