Is repetitive turning around and sommersaults a sign of stress? One of my birds escaped yesterday while I was at work and my husband who doesn't usually interact with them had to catch him. When i got home my more tame ringneck that witnessed this seemed stressed and kept going around in circles and doing sommersaults. I can't seem to find anything like this online. His tail is now curved on the bottom from turning around so much. He seems to be doing it much less today. He still wolf whistles at me and chatters and eats ok.

I would say it's a sign of excitement or anxiety. If the behavior is starting to tone down now, I wouldn't worry about it. I'm glad your hubby got your bird back!
