our 6 yr old daughter accidently sat or rolled onto our 2yr old ringneck today , he seems fine but is very quiet and has a slight limp in one foot . (his ringed leg )
i have checked him out very throughly and he appears to be ok , felt all around his neck , chest , wings and both legs and feet without him being aggressive at all . he is still grasping food with the " sore " foot and eating it but is just unusally quiet ???

He usually hops up on my shoulder and dances up and down and gives kisses and chats away but today i got home and he just hopped up and sat quietly on my shoulder like he was sulking ? he is steady on his perches but has a slight limp while on the floor walking .

we have put him in his cage and covered him up as usual and have been checking him every now and then and he seems ok just quiet

perhaps he has a touch of shock or fright ???

update time
i got him out of his cage before and he was a bit better and was dancing around again , he then tried to swipe the peanuts off of my ice cream i was eating
he is still abit quiet but is hopping around and playing again . he still has a slight limp in one foot but seems all good

i have a funny feeling that one of his nails may have been pulled or bent .

He may have just been a bit sore like when we get a sore foot. I once trapped a birds foot in the cage door and felt really bad. It screeched and hopped around for a while, but then it came good. Now I watch where the birds are before I open or close doors.
