I have wonderful parrot.
He is the sweetest thing he is 12 weeks old=3months.
I had a very good relationship with him he was not handfed but he now is not scared of me or my hand.
He loves to play with me and loves to be handled he loves to just poop on my lap while i study or watch tv -.- :P
But recently he bit me really hard its not like him =/
And his bites hurt they get to the point where it either draws a bit of blood or a bite that really hurts and he doesnt let go.
I have to literally yank my finger out
It's getting frustrating
Can someone help me?
I did not teach him any tricks yet and he doesn't seem to learn target training
I wanted to start this week but doesn't look like thats going to happen =/

Perry, it sounds like he's doing what's called bluffing. The more experienced people can help you more with this topic.

Heyy something i am really concerned about
whenever i go to pet my baby "perry"
Perry starts to bow down and open his mouth to bite and he makes a "mehow" sound like a kitten.
Thing is he doesn't bite me.
Please help why is he showing this behavior?

My girl janey does the exact same thing. At first I thought she was going to bite me but it seems more a term of endearment, her trying to communicate a) that she wants pattings b) that she likes me. That's how I've interpreted the behavior although I've never read anything about it. In fact you're the first person I've ever heard describe this behavior. I don't feel half as special anymore!

Janey has also figured out the quieter she squawks the more likely she is to get my attention. Somehow I will hear the really quiet ones more than other people do.

I suspect he is a she if he is displaying that behavior.
