I have a young Lutino Ringneck bird, now 3 months old. The bird in general is doing well, eating well & quickly learning to be tame.
However it seems to be losing a lot of small feathers. Every morning aroung the cage is a large amount of feathers. At this point he doesnt seem to have developed any bald patches, but i was quite concerned that this seems to be very early for its first moult.
Can anyone help?

I don't know if this is "normal" but I had the same thing happen to my female. From about 6 months to a year old she was losing a lot of feathers everyday, but no signs of feather loss on her. Then after she turned 1 it just quit happening.
