CHALLENGE! Photos!

Hi all!
Just thought of something perhaps fun & dif for us to do, seen as I have noticed the forum a bit quiet lately!
It actually an idea Dog Glenn gave me!
Why not start a little game / challenge, for all the people from the different areas.
Post a pic, of what you think is the most beautiful / different mutation, and lets all have a guess at what it is etc etc.
(i know that is what we usually use Dog Glenn & Madas & Recio for, but it helps us junior people to learn too!))
And at the same time, lets just see everyones favourite, different mutations!
Even if it is just a creamino, i can never see enough pics of the mutations that are out there!

I kinda had a feeling it wouldn't be that easy knowing how much you know about mutations. Plus you asked the other two experts to stay quiet.
Well I have absolutely no idea, but it is a very nice bird.

I have no idea whether you own it or not, so don't be offended.
My assumption is based on when I look at the bird you can see it has harlequin pied through it and the colour to me is Emerald as it is holding a good even colour throughout the body as the emerald does not like the turqouise harlequins.
It is a fantastic looking bird.
So do I get the prize????
I have tried to put a photo up for identification but I can't seem to attach it, message comes up " the board quota has been reached" can anyone help?

Good luck.

Let's go for the challenge !!!
About the green bird (the blue one is out of focus but it looks violet-pied in my computer): it is a young bird as his/her eyes tell us, so no way to know if it is a male or a female from the pic.
The general colour is dark green. You can get this colour with these mutations or combination of mutations in the green series: grey, dark and violet (structural mutations). To know for sure if it is one or another we need a closer view of the tail. Any of these mutations can act as SF or DF and can be combined (ex DF violet Sf dark green, SF grey DF dark SF violet green, .... and so on ... so too many possibilities) .... but if this pic comes from Madas I would bet violet (SF or DF) with or without dark (probable SF) as the basic colour mutation.
Together with this basic colour I can see some yellow patches but again it would be great to have a better pic. This can be due to pied mutation, probably harlequin type since there are some yellow feathers in the head. But again better pic would be necessary ...
So my bet: violet (SF or DF) +/- dark (SF) harlequin pied green young IRN.
Come on Madas, did we get any point?
Regards
Recio

The bird in question is the green one. As you know i don't own any pied bird.

So try on.
But SF and DF ins't a bad thought. One more hint the bird carries no violet.

I can't post a picture of the tail because it will solve the riddle. ;)

Hi,
So no violet. I know you do not breed grey .... so we are dealing with the dark factor. Since you tell me that a pic of the tail will solve the problem I am going to tell you my first thought and the reason I did not bet on it: a young dark green cleartail. The fact that the undertail is yellow and this yellow goes up to the belly together with the yellow feathers in the head made me feel it could be a young cleartail, but we can see a green colour on the upper part of the tail which is unusual for the cleartail (really with this pic it is not possible to properly analyse the tail ... come on: post the good pic!!!)

Hi Recio,
yup cleartail is right and darkfactor too. But this isn't the the whole story.

"a pic of the tail will solve" think twice of it and read my previous post again. ;)
