Hi there,

Judging by the behaviour the blue is male and white female.

She starts to stand tall with her wings slightly open then the male comes closer and she bows to get him on top but he just trys and feeds her.

Im guessing he has never done it before.

What season are you in right now?

Thanks Glenn

Yes he has never done before, the male is 3 years old and female is 2 years old.

The two were hand feeding since 1 month old at my house.

They were always together and never with another bird.

Right now we are in mating season

Okay, so here's my question: is it the female that tries to feed, or the male? And which one does the dance with the bobbing and weaving, the male or the female?

Hi it is the male that bobs and weaves but some females do do it some times but will stop and drop the head and lift the tail slightly to get the male to hop on.

They will both feed each other but once the hen is on eggs the male (if a good one) will feed her around the clock. He will give her enough to feed her and enough so she can then pass that to the babies, He ends up very busy.

Hope it helps.

Thanks Glenn
