Is a turquoise or par blue (turquoise bird with bright green and head and turquoise wings and tail) considered a blue or a green bird? If he was mated to a green hen that is split to blue what would the results be?

Hi,
not sure which colour they fall under but I think these are the correct results for what they will produce:
1.0 turquoise(parblue)
x 0.1 green /blue
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 green /turquoise(parblue)
50.0% 1.0 turquoise(parblue)Blue
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 green /turquoise(parblue)
50.0% 0.1 turquoise(parblue)Blue

Hi,
A parblue or turquoise is an allele of the blue mutation and thus, it belongs to the blue serie.
Most probably your turquoise is an heterozygote bird (turquoise-blue) and, in this case, you could obtain green, turquoise and blue birds offspring when pairing it to a green split blue IRN.

Thanks guys! I was told they thought my green had a blue father and lutino mother. If that was not true and she had a green father and lutino mother would they have all green? I am thinking the offspring would be green/blue in that case. I really appreciate the knowledgeable replies on this site. There is no other way that so much good information would be available.
