my question:
is it ok to put 1 male irn with two females?
will they breed this season??????
or any difficulties with the 2
do reply or ill seprate
do check pics m attaching and do reply

he wont breed with both, and the females will probaly attack each other when they go in breeding mode
would be best to seperate them so you dont end up with one badly injured or even dead female

Never put together one female with 2 males at the breeding season: one of the males will be killed by the female.

Nevertheless you can put one male with 2 females provided you have a big aviary and that the nest boxes are enough far away from each other. Very probably you will get offspring from both females. It is easier if the females are sisters or have been together for a while.

I can see you care for them but this is not a big aviary. I would not put 2 females together with one male in these conditions ... but if you ever do it keep us posted to know the results.

Hi,

You can built your own nesting box up in wood: 25 cm x 25 cm at the botom, 50 cm height, 8 cm diameter hole and an inside ladder to allow birds going in and out the nest box. Make a lateral door to see what is going on inside... and add 5 cm deayed wood at the bottom of the nest box. It is easy and cheaper than buying it.

Hi;

The nest should be deeper and closed in the upper part.
How to make a nest box has been developped many times in this forum. You can use the search function, with key words, to look for it. It should not be placed at the bottom of the cage but in the upper part.

Your IRN's wont use that for a breeding box.

The box needs to be made out of wood and placed higher up, im not even sure if IRN's will breed in a small cage...
