I am wondering: when talking genetics, is violetblue the same as violet (visually)? Does anyone have a link to or a pic of a violetgreen?

Hi there visually to look at a violet and it is violet (no other colour) then geneticly its violet blue.
If its a combo of green and violet then gentically its green violet.
Hope that helps.

Hi Dog-Glenn,
You should use the word combination instead of combo when talking about different mutations present in the same bird. The word combo makes reference to a crossing-over appearing between genes present in the same cromosome as:
1. In autosomes: Dark and blue
2. In sexual cromosomes:
Pallid and cinnamon
Ino and cinnamon
Pallid and opaline
Ino and opaline
Cinnamon and opaline

Combo in Aus does mean combination.
