It would depend on if they have ever breed and had/raised babies there is a big difference between bonding and being paired with the ability to raise babies.
I would think between $1200 to $1800 as all the babies they do produce would be double factor violets.
Also find out how old they are.
Thanks Glenn

I assume they are violet blue and not violet greens.
Breeding results if both are single factor violet blues would be 25% blue, 50% sf violet blue & 25% df violet blue. Then if cock bird split to sex linked mutation ie cinnamon, lutino, pallid (lacewing)you could get anything.
Hopes this helps out a bit.

In NSW 2010 Violet Blues are selling for the same price as last year around $450 to $600. I would say if they are 2009 birds and will more than likely breed next year then around $1500 would be about right. Last year 2008 Violet Blues were going for about $1000. Find out about the parents. You dont want the Cock bird split to Ino as that can mask Violet.

Well a 2010 double factor would be from $800 to $1000 so a year older would probabley add a few hundred dollars. I did see one at a bird sale that was a 2010 one for $600 last week but it wasnt a very nice looking bird.
