So when i got kiwi i was told he/she is about 4 months old now... Im very new to this breed of bird, but it seems hard to believe. can you look at my pics and tell me if you think it coud be 4 months? Thank you!!!

I agree, kiwi is a sweetie.

I would guess the age stated to you would be fairly correct. Still has the baby eyes and, from what I can tell in the photos, the tail is still fairly short compared to an adult.

I agree s/he does look around 3 - 4 months old, very young and very cute !!!

Aw, thanks so much everybody... Yeah i spoke with te previous owner again yesterday. She told me that about a month ago she bought him from a gal who hand raised him and at that time he was 12 weeks old... thats as specific as she could get. The girl i bought him from couldnt keep him anymore, I found the ad on craigslist, and Im soooo happy that I got him! he's so incredibly sweet! The last bird i had was a cockatiel and she would hiss at me everytime i moved and nibble at me, even though she was tame, she was on edge and a grumpy girl. Kiwi is so mellow.
