Both of mine have been DNA tested (by the breeder before I got them). I believe the tests aren't 100% accurate... but as far as I can tell, I think they were accurate for me.
Is it the accuracy of the test you are worried about or whether it causes pain for the birds? Although I've never done it, I believe you send a bit of blood from their foot? but I'm not sure.
Ellie.

you can do it two different ways
one is by pricking there leg with a pin and getting a drop of blood
the other is to pluck out some feathers
i think the tests are about 99.9% acurate or something like that (unless you get your DNA on there blood or feathers)

haha..i am a bit impatient..can't seem to find a name that suits him/her
the pain is what i am worried about most, i don't mind whether my baby is a boy or girl
where would you have to take the feather from? would it really matter from what part of the bird?
and what do you guys think about clipping their wings? i am not really sure if i like the idea but i want him/her to be safe
thanks!
