Hi,
Wow thats a beautiful male! the female is just I green with pigments of white. The male it sorta aqua in colour, is it a parblue rec pied? or a parblue lacewing(but if it was the head would be yellow).
:? tough one :?
but I guess one you breed them. Post pictures of the chicks colours. I might be able to help then, unless someone else on the forum knows.
good luck :D

I was told they were both "lightly pied".
You can see more of the yellow spots on the back of the female. I'll post more pictures soon. .3.

I agree, the male is a beauty. Killer on my hands though, while the female is fairly tame.

Hi,
So they both look like rec pieds so here is a shot at gen calc. but this is an complete guess :?

1.0 turquoise(parblue) rec.pied x 0.1 green rec.pied

% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 green rec.pied /turquoise(parblue)

% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 green rec.pied /turquoise(parblue)

hi,

I see. Mighty thank you, greenbean. :3
Mm...what can you predict if instead I bred him with a female lutino or blue?
I'm not so sure I want to do that because another female wouldn't be pied, but...what do you think?

Hi, If you paired it with another female lutino or blue you will only recieve on split pieds as its a recesive gene.

1.0 turquoise(parblue) rec.pied x 0.1 blue

% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 turquoise(parblue)Blue /rec.pied

% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 turquoise(parblue)Blue /rec.pied

and

1.0 turquoise(parblue) rec.pied x 0.1 ino

% from all 1.0
100.0% 1.0 green /turquoise(parblue) ino rec.pied

% from all 0.1
100.0% 0.1 green /turquoise(parblue) rec.pied

Thanks, greenbean. :3
I think I'll keep them together.

The boy seems really interested in her, follows her around and sings to her and feeds her.
The girl let's him to all this, but still seems aloof.
Think she'll warm up by breeding season?

Hi,
If the male is feeding her, thats a good sign that they will breed. I think they might :D

That's great. :D

I was wondering by the by, how much do rec. pieds sell for?
I can't seem to find any babies to compare prices. :T

I'm not sure if America really has either.
I can't really find any.

Also, I read that the big difference in dom and rec pied are the feet and beak colors? :P
Recs have light and doms have dark. Do you know anything about that?

Hi,
I dont think that is true, not sure. but when breeding them you only need 1 which to produce pied. which is a money saver
