I've been trying to find out how often ringnecks moult. My Joey has lost tail feathers and I keep hearing they will come in when he moults, but when will that be. can someome write down when and how many times a year a bird moults. that would be soooo helpful. Ive heard so many different things. It is my country, by seasons, etc.......

I find my chicks go through what I call a 'mini moult' at around 4-5 months old,,,give or take.
The adult birds seem to moult once a year after breeding, I think around Feb from memory.
I guess it depends on what part of Aust you live in as to when moulting actually begins.
