Is my space heater bird safe?

I have a Holmes fan type space heater and am wondering if it is safe to use around my baby. I checked the Holmes website and it said they do not use non-stick coatings, also the site Avianweb has Amazon links suggesting Holmes heaters including the same model I have, but just thought I would ask if anyone has any personal experiences - you can't be too careful!
