Much awaited, have been in love with these birds since I went to get my second IRN and one was watching me quietly from the side of a cage while all the other birds were screaming and flying and making much noise. I have Love the Eclectus ever since and now I have one in my family. His name is Dexter and he is 14 weeks old hand raised from Euroa.

He's really beautiful. Congratulations! Looks like he will be a very spoilt boy (spoilt in a good way)!

They are such great talkers. Our girl we bought, the guy said she has over a 40 word vocab. A few more were added when she heard us chastising the dog...get down, Holly NO!!!, wait Holly, HOLLLLLIIIIIIEEEEEEE. LOL

Thanks .. Eclectus are totally!!! different to IRN's, and so I have found out, training them is totally different aswell. He went through a week of stressing out and nipping, but is coming around now. IRN are fast noisey, full on. Dexter is quite and does nothing fast .. lol .. he adores trying to talk and swingning on the new swing dad made him .. I am totally in love. I still get my boy IRN out but Dex has to be away and its very noisey, the IRN scream at him and Dex growls at them. Its getting better each time though and soon I hope to have them have monitored time out together but thats a few months years off yet .. lol
