Day two with Remmi

Hello all,
Well day two has been a good one with my little Remmi bird. I think he had a good night. I didn't hear anything if he didn't. When I got them up today he was on his perch. Looked a little lost. And that was kind of sad. But I got him out of his cage, he didn't like that. I held him and he wasn't real happy about that. He kept trying to squirm away. But finally calmed down enough to let me pet him and he just hung out on me. Every once in a while he'd get the idea of trying to make a break for it. But I stopped him. And he'd scream his displeasure and bite me--which compared to Byndi's doesn't hurt one little bit. I would tell him no bite and calm his butt down. Then I decided to take him and his playground into the bedroom where it would be just the two of us. We practiced step up and then I just let him hang out on the playground while I cleaned the room. He was quite content. Until I'd "bother" him again. We did this for a while and then I took him into the living room and put him on the playstand with Byndi and Milo. Remmi really wants to be friends with Byndi and Byndi is an aggressive punk to him.
It's kind of sad. Poor little guy just wants a friend and Byndi won't have it. Then there's poor little Milo who wants to be friends with both of them and neither will have anything to do with him. So after a while I put Remmi back in his cage hoping he'd be hungry and eat. I don't think he's eaten since we brought him home. But he just hung out on his top perch. Then he started to move around and play with the toys and then he was out of the cage and on top on his playground. And I heard him eating some of the food I left in the bottom of the playground. So I was happy about that. Then I decided it was time to spend more time together. So I got him off the playground and held him and practiced step ups some more. He does really good, but man those little wings just flap when he's stepping up. Then I tried to get him to eat more and he kind of seemed interested and kind of not. So I got a bannana and boy did he go to town on that! Which made my heart sore! I've got him on the playstand now and he's kind of munching on a honey stick treat. I was worried about him not eating. I don't think he's drank any yet tho'. Do I need to worry about that?? He's so sweet and I am so in love with him. Well this is very long so I'm going to end it for now. I will keep you posted.
Hugs,
Jennifer
