aviary wire

Is their a safe aviary wire out there that is not as expensive as stainless steel? I know you have to wash the galvanized wire with vinegar but is their anything ready to use? I have a lot of compartments to the aviary I am building and will use a lot of wire. What gauge and spacing is best for ringnecks. I have read all kinds of different things. My aviaries will be enclosed in a long screen porch so weather is not a big consideration. Thx for any input. Rosemary
