An Article for the Newbies

I learnt that Ringnecks recognise colour and especially as youngsters hate the colour red. But as they grow can learn to tolerate it.

Most of my clothes are red and even in the pics I posted on kai and myself on the photo forum I am wearing red.

I wonder if that is why he is very edgey and unsettled sometimes. Tomorrow I am going to do constume changes and test it to see.

Actually one of my first bouts online was concerning the color red. I told the board my girls ran from me and squawked like maniacs when I wore dark pink or if my sons where red.

Everyone thought I was loo-loo, with the exception of a few. Good to know my fight had some validity *sticks her tongue out at her nay-sayer board friends*

The articles are pretty good, though I have slight disagreements that don't matter much, lol.

Like, instead of bleach, as reccomended in the article, use GSE (grapefruit seed extract) which is a natural anti-microbial/disinfectant. ^^

But it's not like the bleach is bad for cleaning the cage. It's just a matter or opinion which is better. ^_~


Hane and Tsume are terrified of red. Mother took offence when they screamed and took of in fright from her- until we told her it was because she was wearing red, lol. xDD
