HELP WITH TAMING

HI,
I GOT IRN 10 DAYS AGO, HE IS 4 MONTHS OLD (SO I WAS TOLD). HE HAS SETTLED IN WELL, EATS LOTS AND PLAYS WITH HIS TOYS, I HAVE ONLY HEARD HIM CHIRP TWICE. I WAS TOLD THE MAN I GOT HIM FROM BREEDS THEM FOR SHOPS AND THE BIRD WOULD GO ON HIS HAND, WHEN THE MAN ARRIVED WITH A TRANSIT VAN FULL OF CAGES HE COME INTO MY HOUSE WITH A BIG GLOVE TO MOVE THE BIRD INTO MY CAGE, SO CLEARLY THE BIRD WAS NOT HAPPY TO GO TO HIM!!! :x BASICALLY I WOULD LIKE SOME HELP WITH HOW TO TAME HIM AS IF YOU PUT YOUR HAND INTO HIS CAGE HE JUST FLAPS AROUND??? I JUST ANT A HAPPY FRIENDLY IRN FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN TO ENJOY.

Also alot of the other threads in this section, are people with similar questions. I think you'll find alot of information there.

It could be that the guy that delivered the bird and the guy that bred the bird are 2 different people. The bird would defend itself against a stranger and so he was scared and used gloves. Were they different people?
