Good Monday Morning Friends!

I hope you all have a great week. Keep us posted as to anything you would like to share about you, your bird, your life... here anything goes.

I love you all to pieces! Without the sweet, loving members onboard the place wouldnt exist, so from all the ringneck owners/board members I give you a big hug and huge thanks!

Hane went out and hung out on some bamboo yesterday. But he began chewing the leaves off so I had to take him down, lol. No eating the bamboo for the clients...

He's temporarily in a 'tiel sized cage downstairs while I'm preping/painting my room but the door sits open and he climbs from there to his playstand and loves it, lol. The cage is open as long as someone is down here (we have an old dog we can't trust if he flutters to the floor with no one around...) which is pretty much all the time. Since the comp is in the same room, lol.

Which reminds me. I have to go prep my room some more. You won't believe all the holes I have to fill. And the trim work I have to repair (old termite damage). Have to do some wood putty sculpting, lol. xDD

How are you liking being back with your baby Dani?

Baby has biten me twice this week. I have no clue what her problem is, she is just being uncooperative. Her bites werent hard but I got use to NOT being biten.

She might be starting her bluffing stage.

I bite >.<
My flappy ones dont bite. I need sleep. I have to feed bubblegut, i wish he'd grow up already lol, or at least old enough for three feeds a day. I'm happy he's alive tho. I took heaps of pictures but he gets cold fast and they all came out blurry. /sigh
Sorry :(

Good Wed. morning everyone,

Is it me or is this week just CREEPING by?? I know I'm excited and anticipating Sat. but good grief! I don't think this week is ever going to end.

We're going out Friday to buy the new cage. And I think we've decided to keep Byndi!

I'll keep you all posted on what happens. If this week ever ends!

Mikeala: She's happy with me being back. She literally lumped out of her cage to see me. :D Makes me feel good to see that my bird sees as more than just a chef

Jen: When do you go to pick up your new baby? I am so glad you decided to keep Byndi. Maybe a new little one around the house will help with him.

Chamon,
You know I will girl!! Datsun is my IRN hero. I want my baby to be just like her! I just love that bird and all her escapades. When you go places with her do you have her in a carry cage in the car or is she loose hanging around? My sister's conure would sit on the steering wheel while she drove. Boy would she get some looks.

Hugs,
Jen

Dats has her "car seat" a large wire cat carrier with perches and bowls but is only in it on long journeys. She likes to sit on the passengers head rest, if there is a passenger or not!

I dont really like her wandering around in the car, waaaay to scary, what if she distracts me? gets stuck under a pedal?? what if we crash????!!!!

Datsun LOVES the car she will chat all day in there, it makes her start the day in a good mood so when we get where we are going shes already happy! I suggest you get your new bub used to it too :)

Im sick today. *puke*

I dont know why, just feel all tired and throwing up. There has been a virus going around but it is more of a flu kind of thing. But now as I write this, I remember my boy complaining of being sick at his tummy a few days before he got real sick with the virus.

GREAT! *pout*

I really dislike being sick at my tummy. Awful feeling.

How is everyone else today?

-chuckle- Bubblegut. xDDD What a perfect name!

Sorry you're sick Mikaela, need someone to hold your hair back for you?

I made birdy bread! A HUGE amount, lol, compared to the size of our IRNs. Hane needs to be on a diet, methinks.

Anyway here's the birdy bread making steps (commonly referred to as a "recipe")

1 box of corn muffin mix, and ignore the directions on it.
Washed, chopped veggies (1 or 1 1/2 cup at least)
Two eggs (in shell)

Preheat oven to 320 degrees F. Crush the eggs in a bowl then blend with a mixer to crush the shell some more (you can also put them in a blender and then add the liquid to the bowl). Mix in corn muffin mix. Chop your veggies to whatever your bird likes. Fold in chopped veggies to corn muffin/egg mixture. Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time until slightly soupy (maybe two or three tbs at most). Spread in 8 in. baking dish and bake on middle rack until inserted knife comes out clean.

notes: Depending on your oven, the top may get a tiny bit crispy, but that's okay. You may want to spray whatever you're baking in with a non-stick spray- but if you're like me you'll forget. You can also freeze the leftovers, but cut the birdy bread into serving sizes before freezing.
Let serving defrost before serving. ^^

This last batch I had cucumbers, carrots, snow peas, celery, and squash. ^^

Hey yall:

I had an apartment complex showing today in Boca. I am on my way home. Im taking alligator alley and it is spooky as it gets dark.

120 miles of nothing but swamp, no stores, no people.

I have 'protection' but it is still spooky. I tried to plan all of it to be past alligator alley before dark. This is no place for anyone at night, especially a girl.

Not good to type and chat but feel free to keep me company.

I want a double cheese burger. -pout-

I know, it's super creepy at night. We went from Palm Beach (visiting a great uncle) all the way home and the whole way I was creeped out.

Silent and dark. meep.

Remember that older woman who crashed off the side and wasn't found in her upside down car for days? There have been plenty who have crashed and just weren't found in time or the alligators got to them first. Scary to think of it.

And I was all alone. I kept the board open to keep me more in touch with the world. There are alot of places with no cell signal though so no phone, no laptop, no where for help.

Someone could have had their way with me and fed me to the gators. First part could be fun, the later would suck.

It is a hard place to descibe but it is a place you would NEVER want to go with someone whom doesnt care for you. You'll never be seen again.

Melika: You would hold my hair while I barfed? Now, that is a true friend :D Haha Sure could have used your attentiveness and caring in my college days

Im glad you were creeped out. But at least you had your dad! I had me and prayer haha. I felt like a big Ol Sissy sweating it so bad. I just took a deep breath, filled my tank to full, paid the toll and on I went... into that awul, dark, scary, desolant, EEEEEEEERRIE place.

I had already decided that if I had car trouble I was going to find a place to hide, then call the police and wait. Rather than stay in the car to be noticed. People wont stop to help you unless they want to kill you. In Florida, anyway HA!

I would have gotten a room just to have avoided it but its hard when you have a little mouse voice (5 yr old) saying noooooo tomorrow is too faaaaar.

I was with my mom, lol. So it didn't make me feel that much safer. xDDD

Some gas stations are creepier at night than gator alley. lol.
