hi my name is Khalifa I'm from United Arab Emirates (U.A.E), Dubai... so I've got 2 new cute indian ringnecks 3 days ago ( I discovered that they are IRN today XD) they're sleeping right now I'll put a pic later on... I need help with them so plz help me I'm a new member on this site I registered 5 mins ago the 2 IRNs are in a very small cage 4 them from the info I read here I have to get a very larger cage for them. By the way they are not trained they can only stand on your finger if you rub their belly lol but I need to hand tame them so I really need help with that I also want to learn the "clicking method" of training also I want them to be relaxed and not scared of me. thx alot . here r the pics I just took themIMG_0106.JPG. Congrats on your new Ringnecks. To upload photos you will need to use a photo account like photo bucket, image shack etc. These are free on line photo storage.

If your cage is too small for the both of them, then I would get them a bigger cage as soon as possible to make their life a bit more comfortable. Also be able to place toys and natural perches in the cage, help prevent bordom. If you do a search on the forum, you will find heaps of info on cages sizes etc.

There is also heaps of information on the site about training and taming your birds, just use the search function up top.

If the birds already 'step up' onto your finger, you are already a step ahead in taming them.

Just remember not to rush them, let them settle in and get used to you and your routines. Food is a GREAT motivator in taming and training your birds.
Depending on your birds individual taste, some people find pop corn, apple, grapes, strawberry etc, to be a great trainging tool.

As for 'clicker training', if you search the net, (youtube is a great starting place), there is alot of sites that show you how.
