Precious!

Mom looks like, "God, what have I done? And where the hell is Dad?" haha. Bless her heart.

I would love to have one of those. They only look intimadating. But they are oohhhh sooooo sweet.

Oh Julie I am so sorry to hear that. Is Reggie doing ok? It really was a big litter. I hope all the other babies are thriving.

reg is going pretty good .i think while i was not home one of my neighbours came over to see the pups and touched 3 of them after she had been touching her dogs.so reg killed them.the rest of the pups have started to walk around a bit and 1 can bark.

Don't get me wrong I totally understand how awesome they are but I have had so many huntsmans on me and around me SUDDENLY in my lifetime .. I guess, now, I am just over them scaring the crap out of me.

they are australian tarantulas and we have 4 here and another 5 coming.you can actually tame them.i dont usually like spiders but these ones are cool.they are known as bird eating spiders but they eat crickets and mice not birds.

yeah I knew it wasn't a huntsman it was a tarant. or some such, just by the butt on it and the big front fang things.. shiver! .. umm .. can they bite ya if they feel the inclination ?

And by the way .. what is involved in taming a tarantula ?

hi All,
This is Aaron, Julies better half, though she might not agree.
You cant tame a T (tarantula) as such , but you can get some docile ones that would be quite happy to walk on your hand without biting you. Although most Aust T's (not allowed to keep exotic species) are the most aggresive of all tarantulas. Much the same with our snakes. The can certainly bite if the cranky, with their 1cm long fangs. Some have been known to pierce the fingernail when biting.
Mind you our IRN indie and i have a love hate relationship. he is always biting me and i would prefer to be bitten by a large T than Indie. In saying that when he gets out he only flies to me. STRANGE.

Yeah, i dont think i will be handling them.
Julie wasnt to fussed either until she saw Freddie fly out of his burrow and drag in a cricket and eat him. Then she said i can get more if they all do that. he made his burrow down the side of the tank so you can see right into his home.
