weird behaviour

Post by Davo84 »

Hi all, my ringneck shows a weird behaviour mostly in the morning, walking up an down the perch, bowing a little and detaching it's wing from the body but without spreading them, what is he trying to say?

Hi all,

here is another better video of Skyler behaving like that! Does anybody know what is trying to tell us?

I'm not entirely sure what that is either, but I had a young male who did this before he would start his "dance". We said "oh, look, Skyelar is getting ready to impress something" lol. We were pretty sure this was a mating type dance.

Hey Davo,

Our bird was something similar to the second vid, it means 'let me out of the cage now!' He used to start jumping up and down and squeaking if we didn't.
He doesn't do it often anymore since we have been giving him random treats when he is in his cage and foraging toys while we cook, which was the main time he did it.

Regards,
