I'm concerned about the baby(4weeks)and how she lays and the positions of the legs, here are a few pics. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid, but any thoughts on these pics please. [/img] [/img] [/img]
Is the bottom of the nest smooth?
I had a similar problem with rosellas when the bottom of the nest was smooth.2 chickens are dislocated hips.It was not the same as yours but similar.I heard that in such cases, immobilizing legs is good so that they can normally heal.Try to drill two holes in a piece of Styrofoam in the width of her hips and pull her legs through them.Your chick is already big and can rend Styrofoam so if you can take a stronger material but beware that it does not hurt hers feet.
