Welcome Home Apollo! [New Pictures!!!]

Apollo and I got home about an hour ago, he's already had his first feeding. Eating well and he seems content. I'm thinking he's closer to 3 weeks old than 4, but age is just a number, right?

Any idea what color he's going to be?

It's actually going really well. I just added a heating pad under his tub, my heat lamp isn't keeping the temp high enough and he was burning too much energy keeping warm, and I don't want to end up with slow crop But, we remedied that situation quickly!

He wasn't eating very well, but I remind myself that this whole hand feeding thing is new to him too, and since he's so young his feed response isn't so great yet. Plus, my dumb butt read the directions wrong and the formula was too cold, so he wasn't interested....funny what a difference just a few degrees make. He ate like a champ tonight, just a little over 10ml, which is about 10% of his body weight

It's awesome, exhausting work but I'm loving every single second of it. Having a baby that's 100% dependent on you for everything is a heady responsibility, but one that I don't take lightly.

I feel like a new mom, I imagine this is what it feels like to have an infant child! Second guessing everything, worrying about cold, worrying if he's eating enough, if he's content, happy, warm? I haven't slept very well since he's been home, every time I fall asleep I have nightmares that Apollo is starving to death and here I was sleeping peacefully!

But, at the end of the day, he's eating, pooping, sleeping, playing so I'm content

Just a few more days and I can add pictures! I can't wait! lol
