SOOO MAD!!!!!

I am SO MAD at my husband right now I could CLAW HIS EYES OUT. The better part of his face should be under my fingernails right now.

Grrrr, Im so MAD IM CRYING.

Not knowing any better, he removes and re-installs windows... no biggie, right? WRONG!

I lost EVERY single pic I have taken of my children and pets for the past 2 yrs. NOT TO MENTION ALL MY DOCUMENTS.

I am so mad, what a loss. Grrrr... God be with that man when his feet hit the floor. He may have forgot but he did this once before. So, he knew better. So, did he just say screw her... Im doing it anyway to get this sound card installed.

YES! I'll take pics of whatever is left of him when he wakes. Grrrr

Am I being unrealistic? He wiped the whole harddrive without EVEN thinking a thing about it. I work my **** off to document our childrens life... HIS childrens lives, and this is the thanks I get? Just trashed like garbage. Could have saved them to CD first.

Lord have mercy I am mad. :cry:

How could he be so selfish? It would have taken him 10 minutes to save those pics and my important documents.

I run my business off of this PC. It is ALL gone now. Hard drive wiped clean. All of my contracts, contacts, contact info, er... now Im really getting mad so I'll close.

I feel for you darling, I really do .. but "I" always back up "regularly" just incase of a crash! .. Ya shoulda done the same. Business sense shoulda told ya that. 2 years ? damn! girl.

I am not saying what he did was right but, the same would have happened had your puter crashed hunny !

Regardless of who did or should have done what, its done and I feel for you losing everything ! .. really sorry Mik.

1) I have my OWN computer, he does not touch it.

2) I back up my stuff on DVD's

3) Never use windows "My Documents" Folder make your own. ON a seperate drive or partition

4) I
A) Partition my hard drive so when I have to wipe and reinstall windows I only have to wipe THAT partition ONLY.

B) Install a second hard drive for my personal data. same goes. Windows on C drive gets wiped. My stuff on D drive is safe.

5) It might be an idea to keep even more back ups on the Internet. Like dropshots, photobucket and so on. If your house gets burned to the ground your computer and backups lost. You can still get them online from anywhere.

Losing irreplacable photos suck big time. I'd be mad too. Dont trust them to do the right thing.. You shoulda emailed them all to me when I asked while you had the chance ;P
I can send back those ones if you need. And you should still have the ones of baby online too.

GET THEE TO A GOOD COMPUTER TECH!!!

You may still be able to recover it all. Our work server computer carked it and we lost everything - all my precedents and current court documentation, gone. My computer guy was able to recover about 80% of what was wiped.

Back-up!?

A box popped up the other day, before this that asked me if I wanted to back up when I was closing my photo program. Seemed like a good idea for me so I hit back-up.

So, does that mean they arent lost!? That they may be retrieved!?

I would be forever grateful for any suggestions as to how to go back and retrieve them... if at all possible. :cry:
