Hi,
Breeding season depends on a few things. I have read it is the amount of light. Indoors it is typically December to May. Outdoors it is typically February to July. I have a pair that laid August and November. There are a few articles I have ran across that have more info on the matter. http://www.indianringneck.com/breeding/ and http://www.birdsnways.com/wisdom/ww57e.htm
These websites have working nestbox in December and laying in late January or February and the other states late February and early December. I would be cautious about playing with the humidity in a room, if one was considering this to help influence birds to nest. Too much humidity can cause soft eggs I have read! I hope this helps, best of luck!
