Hi there
We have recently brought a 4 week old IRN home. He is very friendly and cute and we love him to bits but he is driving us crazy with his constant screaming as soon as he sees me, even though i seem to be his "chosen human".
He will sit on my shoulder or tuck his head underneath my chin and just scream.
Any ideas or helpful hints as feeding and talking to him don't seem to be helping much at all.
Regards
Katie

Re: screaming IRN
Hey there Im only fairly new to this site, but if you search(up the top right) "screaming" on the forum theres a few different posts with some great answers about them screaming. Mine is 11 weeks old and does scream a bit and Im trying to ignore him when he does that and give praise/treats when he chirps/whistles instead so that he gets that quieter chirps get more attention than screaming... which seems to have toned it down somewhat but since is mine a few weeks older Im not sure how it would go with yours since you are probably still on formula.
The thread "Indian ringneck screaming. Plz help!!" in the IRN lounge section has a link from good bird inc which i found really helpful!! (I cant repost it because I havent done enough posts to put URLs in)
Hopefully someone more experienced than me will post something helpful but if you get stuck always search a key word like screaming or whatever you want to know about because plenty of the time Ive found that someone has had a similar problem and has asked it on another post!!
Good luck and congrats on your new family member
