Is there a way to visually tell an olive green and a grey green apart?

Re: If I were to buy an Olive green IRN....
I asked for pictures of the tail and it has a yellowish green underneath and the top is a dark olivy green so I am going to assume that it is not in fact an olive but a grey green, if I wanted to purchase this bird what would I want to pair it with and to get what?

All you have to do is ask the breeder what are the parents are of this bird.
To be true olive both parents would have to be dark green factor. dark green x Olive or with Cobolt or Mauve combination.

If the bird is a grey-green you can put a Blue to it and get grey, blue, grey-green
if this bird is a hen you can put it to a Pallid blue cock and get combination of above in pallid also, all hens will be visual pallids
This will also help you determine the sex of the young, since all hens will be pallid and cocks will be normal colors + split pallid (not visual)
