my new parrot

hi there im jean and recently took over the care of what i believe is a female ringneck, from the moment 'she' arrived her only aim is to escape her cage... she is trying to lift the bars, to push the roof off and to escape through the food and water dish. i am aware she will be freaked by the enviroment change but when let out of the cage, only done as i was concerned she would hurt herself. she flys to the curtain pole and refuses to move... she flies directly into the window, even when the curtains are closed.. she shreiks when anyone approaches her cage and if i put my hand in the cage u would think she was being throttled. when this is done with a black glove (any other colour and she goes mental) she will bite finger tips but then will take apple... is this gonna get better xx

Yes, it is going to get better! My parrot used to do such things. You just keep socialize with her and it will get better and better soon you will be able to carry her on your hand and she will be happy for your support . Wish you luck and do not forget announcing the progress !!
