can anyone help ?

Hi my names jess and last saturday i found a baby irn in a park in london . Im guessing that he has fallen from the nest. he is still bald in places an can not fly yet . Im feedin him wiv a spoon and he is starting to try food like apple and bananna i sooo pleased he has made it a week im allready soo in love with him !although he is still alive i dont really know what im doing . He is in a large cage atm moment but he seems very reluctent to move fron the perch at the top i can touch/stroke him when feeding him but he has been making an awfull growling noise (think its when he is scared) will this stop as he gets used to us or is it beacuse he is wild ? He dosnt make any other noises really atm .idealy i wuld love to keep him/her (weve called him beany ) . What can i do to make sure i dont upset him ? And any info on how to ween him wuld be great ! Thanks xx

I think you should get it checked out by an avian vet for diseases. it's very unlikely but some birds can have diseases that can be passed on to humans. Do ou have any other birds in your household. If o, I would keep it away from them for a quarantine period.

Thank you ! I just want to make sure i get things right with him i have not owned a bird since i was a child and i have a few things that are concerning me . Firstly he makes a strange growling noise when my children (1and3) Cry or shout. I have only had him a week so i know he needs to settle in but should i move hin to a quieter room or will he get used to our noisy household ? Secondly his dosent move fron the top perch in the cage . Is it beacuse he cant fly yet ? Sounds silly but will he get sore feet if he dosnt move around ? . Hes so cute and i think hes starting to like me as hell let me stroke him .i hope i can get him tame is this possibe with a semi wild irn?

Sanjay did'nt move around much at first, he just sat and took everything in. Do'nt isolate Beany, you are his new flock and he needs to get used to you all.
