Good evening everyone! I bought this and my IRN he stole my heart at 1 week!
I have three doubts
1 - what should be the average of his age?
2-I let him eat the food in the cage? no limit for him to eat?
3-how long they live in domesticated?

Re: 3 questions =P
Congrats on your new bird! Welcome to the forum. He is beautiful! although he may be going through a moult? He/she looks quite young to me - just coming out of the baby stage? I'm not an expert on IRN ages though so I'll let someone else take a more educated guess at that.
My vet tells me that birds won't overeat however if they have more than they need, they may tend to each just what they most like and may not get a balanced diet. There is a thread on here about diet, I suggest you check that out.
IRNs can live between 20 and 30 years when they are domesticated.
We look forward to sharing your adventures with your ringie!
Ellie.

I thought people in this forum so lovable!
here in Brazil, people have usual a Cockatiels therefore is very difficult find some article about ringneck!
That's cool! he is on moult, according to the vet it´s normal for it because the location changing !
I would like to measure the age, because he came ringed as 2010 however the salesman told me that they use random ring = (, which is not very good attitude!
tomorrow I will send stool for routine exams = P
ok I'll look a little forum about food.
