That girl should be in pictures, she kills me... reminds me of my son... 'Everyone loves Matthew". No good reason in his case though HA!
Chamon, Baby has juuust started making noises as elaborate as those. When may I expect her first word after she starts practicing? I know thats hard to answer but whats your best bet?
Is she saying pretty girl at the very beginning? Baby makes that SAME noise but the family doesnt agree she is saying pretty girl. Then again, they dont pay her any mind.
She probably is saying something, I just cant be POSITIVE because she'll only practice when noones around.

A lot of people get worried because strangers cant make out what their bird is saying. They think if the stranger doesnt understand then It's probably not a human word.
But this isnt the case. Stragers arent USED to hearing birds talk, strangers arent used to what "normal" bird speak is compared to birds attemting human speech. It's like this Scottish guy at work, Hardly anyone can understand him because of his accent. I have no trouble understanding him at all being used to and descended from the like.
If yall know what your babys tryin to say and you respond to it even if it dont sound right that will just reinforce it in your babys head that they are talkin to their mamma. This helps them understand the meaning and encourage them to say it more and eventually get it clearer.
You know your baby better than anyone.

I am ALMOST positive she is saying 'pretty girl' so I will just say 'Yep, Baby is a purdy girl'... then rub my families little faces in it.
They think only million dollar birds talk or birds that hang with pirates. We are a cute bunch but a little lacking it the intelligence department.

Hrmm the cheap birds like cockatiels and budgies talk tooooo... It's a little more like a whistle but come on it's a bird.. You try talking bird language and see how you go lol.
My cockatiel used to say, Jirra and Hello Tori. The cockatiel I got now says "Pretty Bird" and "Watcha doin?" He's sayin something else too but I cant make it out.
I forget the fact that babies have the same thing. I get some really little kid come up to talk to me and I have absolutly no clue what she's saying. Every now and then there's a word I can make out. But.. I guess birds and humans go though that same stage where they are just babbling until they can form coherant words. I really dont know how some parents can understand that speak.

Now Mikaela you know Baby, she will talk when shes good and ready. If I estimate how long it will take, she will see it wait twice that time.
She wants it perfect, just right. Shes a perfectionist that Baby and it will happen in her time
Datsun just started, no teasing and never stopped. This morning I walked up to her and she said "Baaaaaby" which is completely new, we get a new word or phrase at least once a week at the moment
