Me and my Zon

Post by Ainon »

Hello!
I'm Elina and I live in Sweden with my red-lored amazon Apple who I bought about a 1½ years ago at a breeder 1000km south of were I live.
I'm 18 years old and are currently studying my 12:th year. In a year I'm probebly going to move to Australia to study medicine in queensland.
I've always dreamt of living in australia and this is my chanc so soon I'll be moving to the other side of the world.
I want to take Apple with me and hope it will work out some way.

Apple is a real character. He is extremly active and loves to fly around and play. His favourite thing is to swing back and forth in ropes hanging from his feets. He also loves to play atttack and wrestle with small toys.

I hope we are welcome here even though we don't have an IRN in our flock....

Hello,

Welcome to the family Elina and Apple.

What a stunning bird and great pictures. Your Apples cage is great, similar to my Kai's cage, made of wood and nice and big.

Welcome to the board. :) I don't often hear about red-lores in this neck of the woods. Amazons are such intriguing avians as a group. With such a fiesty one I'm sure you'll be helpful in the behavior area here, if nothing else!

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay

All of us with the fancy cages blah, BUH HUMBUG! I know, Im as bad (if not worse than the rest of ya'll). But look at those home made cages, they ROCK and look nice too.

Looks more natural. When my cages wear out. I am going with a home made one as big as a whole friggin wall. My baby's will never be caged.

My husband wanted to do this for me (had fight about it actually) and I wouldnt let him. I didnt see the big picture.

I thought it would look crappy or like we had it that way because we couldnt afford to house in a nice cage, screw what people think... that shiat looks GREAT.
