do irns talk with their owners accents

this might be a stupid question but do irns pick up their owners accent.it got me thinking when i watched mikaelas video where she talks and i wondered if baby talks like mikaela.

I have also wondered the same thing... do birds speak with an aussie, country, nothern, english accent.

I will not be offended that I was pointed out hehe.

Hmmm, I guess they would to a degree. They can only say what they hear and Datsun has my voice, I suppose if they were good at mimiking they could pick up the accent, but it would be alongside the birdie accent :wink:

Its weird becaue northerners can move to the south and eventually loose most all of their accent.

However, a southerner can move to England and live there 25 yrs and never lose any. I am from NC, family from Alabama so mine is VERY thick.

Sure did help me with the boys though before I got married. They flocked just to hear me talk. Or would that be tawk :lol:

Welp, at least I am unique... unless I go back home. Which will NEVER happen.

My point is: I married a man from the Hamptons so many times he has NO CLUE what I am saying, sometimes in fact, we argue for 5-10 minutes until we realize we were both arguing the same point OR EVEN WORSE, an entirely different topic all together.

His/our baby Jared (5) picked up my accent, bless his heart. The older boys were saved. He will hate me for this later. :oops:

For some reason men find it VERY attractive on a woman... on a man, not so much. A new yorker daddy and a southern bell momma... that child should have been born on the Mason Dixon line.

In sweden we talks diffrent in diffrent village. I live in a small village and go to school in another and my classmate say that i sppek diffrent from them

But a bird from northern sweden do talks diffrent then from one from southern, but then there is a huge diffrent in the language, there is diffrent words for diffrent thing, we speak diffrent fast and slow and so on..

Same here Mia, southerners talk slow and draaaaaw their words out more... more pronunciation.

My husband grew up in the Hamptons so he has no concept of an 'R'... for example I would say understand... he would say unda stand.

His isnt thick though... been here 20 yrs.

I TOTALLY hear an accent when Datsun is speaking! TOTALLY!! She isn't saying hello like we say it here in Ohio. My husband even hears an accent when she says it. It's very cool.

I know that African Greys pick up accents, I have heard them on video's I have watched from all over the net, especially my favorite bird from birdboard.com Gillian. They pick up exact anythings, amazing birds, would love one if only I could afford it.

I do think that Datsun has an accent, for sure. Not hello but hellooo. And like mia said, different words in different area's, especially southern places and the most southern you can get in the world is Australia :wink:

Strine would definately influence how a bird sounded simply because the words are so different even to the classic Aussie lingo.
