outdoor play aviary for pet IRN

Hi everyone!!! It has been agesss since I was last on here, been really busy with school and other animal adventures! So I am writing for a bit of info. regarding building a small aviary outside for Louie. It would be approx. 2m long and 80cm wide. I am thinking of making it like a suspended aviary about 50cm-80cm above the ground and about 1m high (not including the space underneath). It would just be for him to spend time outside on nice days instead of being cooped up in his cage while no-one is home. Obviously I will have to make it very secure but I need advice on the kinds of wire to use and any creative ideas that you might have regarding toys/activities that your IRN's enjoy while in their aviaries/cages.
The other thing I wanted to ask is - has anyone had any experience with building a wooden aviary for their parrots. I have read that IRN's will chew apart a wooden aviary. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?? Also, what is the safest wood to use when building an aviary? (i am not sure if I will use wood yet but I would like to know this before I decide so I can weigh all the options up)
I have also read that parrots can get zinc poisoning from the wire if they use their beak to climb around on it. I remember reading somewhere on here that scrubbing the wire with vinegar removes the zinc. How often would this need to be done? Are there any types of aviary wire that don't require this to be done?

Once the wire is cleaned of zinc it doesnt have to be done again.

The size of the cage is good. I would use a steel frame as it will be easier to keep clean and not need replacing from chewing.

If you must use timber then use a hard wood that will last longer.
