wing problems

Post by courty (: »

ever since i got indy she has had trouble with her wing the smallest bump makes her wing bleed. i dont know what to do anymore everytime i think its getting better something always happens and it bleeds again. it started off with her wings being cut way to short by the place i got her from and shes is only semi tame and terrified of hands most the time so im not sure what to do... today when i was cleaning her cage i accidently scared her a little but she wouldnt stop flying around and hurting her wing. its now looking the worse it ever has im really worried. i dont have any avian vets near me and i cant take her to a vets till tuesday, last time i took her he did nothing but look at her wing for like 2 minutes then send me away with antibiotics.
has anyone ever had this problem? and how did you make it better? i cant really put anything on it without scareing her and properly making it even worse and i dont want to just leave her in her cage all the time because im scared of losing all the progress she has made since i got her and its really only in her cage she is hurting herself (her cage is fairly big).

If I were you I would try find and avian vet. It's the only way to figure out what's wrong with the wing. Sorry I can't be much of help. Hopefully it's nothing serious!!
