white head white tail and clear head clear tail

i want to ask what is "clear" meaning- is it the original colour (green) showing in the feathers?

and also is it possible to only have a "white tail" and no "white/clear head" at the same time for a DARK colour like DF violet?

Hi Azure,

Now not sure what you mean with the green showing through but will explain the rest.

WH/WT or clear head clear tail is the same thing.

In the blue series birds it white head whit tail.
In green series birds it yellow head yellow tail.

All females will have the clear tail but wont have the clear head and males will have both.

Glen is right, just 2 little things:

1. You can also have a general blue bird with yellow-cream head if adding turquoise.
2. Young males also display just a clear tail with normal head before reaching sexual maturity.

It is better to call the mutation clear head clear tail because the actual colour of the head and the tail depends if you are dealing with the green or the blue series.
