I am a new breeder and this is my first clutch. I have been hand rearing them so far and offer them seed, veges and fruit but I am unsure if they are getting enough, They are rejecting the formula. Do I need to force them if they don't start eating much seed. They do chew on vege's but it doesn't look a like they are actually breaking the shells of the seed. Two just learnt to fly at yesterday and today.
And advice would be greatly appreciated .

with time they where fine, They didn't eat much but now are normal again. Best to start them on budgie seed. Its easy for them to break into. And keep offering them the veges and fruit, and rearing food. I changed from the syringe to spoon feeding which they preferred. I didn't need to worry they knew what they where doing.

I'm glad it worked out. I'm hoping to try breeding ours for the first time next year.
