Coating on a bird cage

Post by Louie »

Hi, I am looking for a new cage for my young indian ringneck. I have found a good cage but was wondering if epoxy coating is good and safe for birds??
I currently own: 1 male, green Indian Ringneck, 1 Labrador Retriever, 1 Mini Lop rabbit and 4 backyard chickens (silkies)

Epoxy coatings (powder and painted/baked) are the standard among bird cages. As long as the material itself is child/pet safe and not lead based it should be fine. :)

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
