DNA Tests?

what does everybody think of DNA tests? i am not sure whether i want to or not :? ..have many of you had your birds tested or did you wait?

I have 3 of mine done because im not patiente and i wanted to know :)

Both of mine have been DNA tested (by the breeder before I got them). I believe the tests aren't 100% accurate... but as far as I can tell, I think they were accurate for me.

Is it the accuracy of the test you are worried about or whether it causes pain for the birds? Although I've never done it, I believe you send a bit of blood from their foot? but I'm not sure.

you can do it two different ways
one is by pricking there leg with a pin and getting a drop of blood
the other is to pluck out some feathers

i think the tests are about 99.9% acurate or something like that (unless you get your DNA on there blood or feathers)

haha..i am a bit impatient..can't seem to find a name that suits him/her :lol:
the pain is what i am worried about most, i don't mind whether my baby is a boy or girl :)
where would you have to take the feather from? would it really matter from what part of the bird?
and what do you guys think about clipping their wings? i am not really sure if i like the idea but i want him/her to be safe
