Question about Munchie's beak.

Its getting dark in spots mainly near the top close to his nose holes ( hope thats the right term to use)

is this normal? he is 5 months old yesterday. iam i doing something wrong? missing something in his diet?

Not really sure without a photo to see what you mean.

I am guessing maybe as the beak is growing out, the dark spots are new colouring coming through. Not really sure though, sorry.

yeah i guess i should have put a photo up also. i will post one up later on today. he was born on 4/21/10 show i wasnt sure how soon he would start moulting ( sp?) and such. i will get them on as soon as i can. thanks in advance

I did not want to start a new topic as to keep the forum clean, but have kind of a funny case on my hands:
While feeding my IRN some of the food got in his/her nostril. It does not seem to bother him/her at all, but actually bothers me, haha.
Any advice on how to get it out ??

This happened to my bird when he was young with a pellet. We softened it with water and my sister held my bird while I used the syringe to draw the pellet out!

We started using larger pellets. :lol:
