Flightsuits

Post by Rueae »

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has a flightsuit trained IRN?
I'm thinking of getting one for Briar, but the sizes seem a bit off to me.
Most conures were medium, but it says IRNs are large and...looking at Briar, I just don't think that'd work...
I bought one for my budgie when I had her and it was way too big so...I'd rather not do that again. :P

Anyway, does anyone already have a bird attuned to wearing one and if so what size did you pick?
Pics are more than welcome!
I've never seen an IRN in one. .3.

Hi

I just bought an aviator but haven't tried introducing them to it yet. I will let you know how I go.

An aviator is a harness though, correct?
I am talking about a flightsuit. Ah...like...a bird diaper, I guess they are called.

I'd love to hear about how your harness training goes anyway, though. So stick around in this thread, if you please. XD

ok - sorry. Yes, I was mistaken.

I have a diaper but I could never figure out how to get them to wear it!

Orly? :D
What size did you get, do you know?
I'm thinking that since my fid is younger than 6 months, she'd need a bigger one once she "grew up" anyway, so there may be no point in getting one now. I'm not sure.

Haha, I guess as far as training it is similar to the harness.
Get them used to the sight, the touch, being around it. Then wearing it, but with lots of distraction and praise.

My budgie didn't like it at all, but I think she was far too small. It messed with her balance and was way too big, despite being the smallest size.

Medium - 450-600

Large - 600 - 1000 gq

X-Large - 1000 - 1600 g
