Hi there,
Just wondering what a 1yr old ringneck looks like?
Please show me a picture. I am getting a green Ringneck soon which is 1yr
old from the pet store. Is 1yr old a good age for me to teach him/her to talk and become
bond.
There was this other offer for a sky blue ringneck 6 months old.
I'm quit confussed on which one to pick
Please help
Thanks

Hey Michael,
My IRN is 9 months old now, and I have only noticed him get a centimetre or so bigger. (if that helps)
1 year old is a very good year to teach him/her how to talk. Lenny has started copying the whistles we do after a while. 6 months old is still a bit young to teach him/her to talk. Lenny started whistling when he was 7-8 months.
If you choose the 1 year old it will take patience for you and the bird to bond. But because the bird is still little, it will be confused, but will soon adapt to its new environment. My bird has only talked once, and he was alone, he said "Hello Lenny" twice, really softly, and he's a 9 month.
Hope this helped,
Emily
