can anyone help please
hello people once again im back to pick ya brains! well my boys are now about 6month old an doing well. ive got 2 questions to ask if possible.when we 1st got the boys we felt we had no choice but to clip there wings cos we live in a big block of flats an have got a dog jack russell (lilly) whos a killer!! plus they kept flying to the ole lady curtins an crapping !! but now ronnie showing what looks like molt i can see pins cuming through on his head but im also worried it might be him plucking himself as ive heard u can turn em bald from early clipping. plus at wot age do they start to talk i can hear little noise cuming from them an reggie puts on the most amazing display for me pinning his eyes an bringing up food but stil no defenet words but im not even botherd if they dont cos jus watching em makes my day cos there my little boys. an they get up to so much. oh i almost forgot dont they bloody hurt when they bite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like great whites thankyou delboy

This is untrue. Some of my ringnecks molt really bad and it does look like they are being plucked! It's really not a pretty site to see--especially when they look so sharp all the time:) This is normal and can take about 1 month to cycle through. Some even get bald spots--nothing to worry about.
Just to be sure though, i would run them to your vet to rule out any bacterial infections. Ringnecks are not feather pluckers by nature.
Most talk around a year; however, mine started around 8 months. Sounds like your boy could be babbling which is usually a great sign of talking--my fingers are crossed for you...plus at wot age do they start to talk i can hear little noise cuming from them an reggie puts on the most amazing display...

LoL! Such a funny quote. Their bites can be painful but i think the shock of getting bitten is more scary. They can draw blood--but i'll tell you one thing--try getting bitten by an African Grey--Now that is pain to another level ;o)oh i almost forgot dont they bloody hurt when they bite
Hope this helps

Best Wishes,
IMRAN-C
