Hi all and greetings from South Africa!

Been browsing these forums and I must say WOW! What beauties you guy's have....every last one of them!
What a library of information, tips and advice, and so easily accessible, I'll definitely be posting here regularly.

Just stumbled on this site whilst researching IRN's. Always wanted a pet bird for as long as I can remember and have finally decided on buying one, after much research, I've decided on Ringnecks, so being a complete novice, I'd appreciate any advice and assistance from you guy's...

Will keep you posted on the progress.....viewing some babies this weekend..

Welcome!

Hope you become a part of our growing family.

Huge dibs on researching before buying plus, you 'stumbled' across the best place on the net for Ringneck info. :D

Post often. We LOVE pics.

Thanks....I'm so eager to get my birds, but cannot for the life of me decide on which colour I like best... the different mutations available are astounding...all so beautiful and different....

I'm quite taken with Yellow headed Yellow Tailed IRN, but have only managed to find it from a breeder in Austrailia and the costs involved in getting them shipped to South Africa are just a bit too much :(

They are stunning don't you think?

Welcome to our Family, I just love newbies coz it means yet another happy fid.

IRN are stunning birds full stop and very intelligent. Good choice

Speaking for everyone I say, "Ask question often" and "post pictures we LOVE pictures and video" you cannot post or ask too much.

Cheers!

You're right SpEEdie, the yellow headed, yellow tailed irn is really beautiful! Thanks for sending the picture. I was only aware of the green and blue irns. I am also a newbie, and have had my green irn since October. I too stumbled on this site while researching. I am lucky enough to belong to the local caged bird club, and be with people who are a wealth of information, and whose eyes don't glaze over when I talk about my sweeties.
