Hi
My name is Fred O'Boyle 50 years old from Middlesbrough England.I am a new owner of Peppa my Lutino Ringneck.I saw her looking unhappy in a petshop whilst out shopping with my wife and when i got home i looked up Lutino Ringnecks on the internet (Including this site] and discussed with my wife about giving her a new home.I spoke to the pet shop owner {It was'nt one that i normally use] heinformed me that6 she was approx one year old.She had been kept in a cage that was far too small for her so when we decieded to take her home we purchased a large new cage for her.Things started great she soon seemed to pick up but a couple of days ago she started to fall from her perch i soon took het to the vets and the Vet informed me she was very ill with calcium deficiency but she would give me a supplement to add to her food or water.I was also told that she had had the condition for quite a while and that was why she would have been looking miserable. We dont know what the future holds for Peppa {my 3y old grandaughter christened her} but all we can do for her is to take things a day at a time and God willing she will get better.
Fred
P.S will post regular updates on how she's doing

Welcome Fred.
Sounds like poor Peppa has had a bit of a struggle to life. Lucky for her, (and your family), you have given her a new home.
Hope things improve for Peppa quickly. You are already giving her a better quality of life, that will help with her recovery.
Best of luck. :)

Hi
Sad news, Peppa passed away this morning, she seemed to be picking up during the last couple of weeks but over the weekend she went downhill rapidly I did however get chance to hold her [without trying to bite me} as i gave her soome water.Anyhow she's in a good place and i had the chance to show her a little bit of kindness. She will be sadly missed.

Oh poor Peppa. :( Sorry for you all.

At least you were able to give Peppa a loving home for her last few weeks.

Hi - I'm sorry to hear about Peppa. It's lovely that you gave Peppa a nice home. Do you have any photos of Peppa? It would be lovely to see them.
